C&C Generals - Can't Scroll?

So I just reinstalled C&C Generals and Zero Hour for my new Windows 7 PC which has dual monitors. First I couldn't scroll left because the mouse cursor would just go to the other monitor. I tried disabling it and then it just wouldn't scroll in any direction. Ideas on how to fix it anyone? :/

restart the game. or alt-tab in and out to make it reload.

I get this sometimes on LoL, alt tab seems to fix it
