I've looked around, but I can't find any socket A boards that have the APU, firewire, and USB 2.0. Can anyone help?

The only one I have found is the Asus A7N8X deluxe. Its a shame because I wanted to get the Epox nforce 2 one but I really want the APU
Also the MSI K7N2G-ILSR has the APU.

The ASUS A7N8X Deluxe have all of what you're looking for. It's a great mobo.

BOught a Deluxe yesterday...I though about it, and it came with everything I wanted. It looks like its still a good buy considering the way the KT400a is benching.

Just a thought... (though a tad late)You probably want the APU for the fact that it doesn't use much cpu power for the audio, right? Well, if that's the case, and you don't seem to want the A7N8X from Asus, then why don't you simply get a PCI audio card? I mean it's not like they are particularly expensive. You certainly don't HAVE to go out and get the most expensive card money can buy. At least, you shouldn't have to since you are looking to settle for on-board sound anyways. :o)
I hear the Hercules Gamesurround is pretty good, and not very expensive either.

Anyways, as I said...Just a thought

The APU on NForce2 boards is just that. An Audio Processing Unit. Basicaly you get the exact same as just plugging in an Audigy. The NVidia sound doesnt use any more CPU processing power than an ordinary PCI sound card. At lest that I have noticed on my machine.

Well, I know. All I meant was tat if the guy is having such a hard time finding the exact Nofrce2 board he wants, while at the same time, it having the APU, then just just get one that doesn't have it, that's all. Not that it makes a difference, he bought the Asus one anyways. =)

If all men said what they thought, they'd be speechless

Yeah he should be fine with it. :-) I just wasnt sure if you knew that the NForce2 APU doesnt load the CPU. It is a very commen misconseption that I also made in the beginning along with many other people and I thought you thought the same thing. But you already knew so no worries. :-)
