Charger for LG and "finicky" Honda outlet

Got the new Verizon cell in January, finally tried the car charger in
February - and it didn't work in my car at all. Worked fine in a
friend's old Altima. Hmm. Took the car in for service today, told
them to fix it - 2004 Honda Accord. They reported a blown fuse and
loose outlet. I picked up the car, tried my charger, and - nothing.
Blew the fuse again. Huh? "Honda outlets are finicky" the repair rep
said. Hmm. She pulls a charger out of her car, exactly the same
model as mine, and it seems to work fine. She and the tech agreed it
was a problem with my charger. Does that make sense? Anybody else
have problems with the Verizon/LG chargers and Honda outlets
specifically?

Thanks.

Plug the charger in first, then connect it to the phone?

Maybe you got a lemon charger?

I have used cheap car chargers for the LG 4400 and 6000 bought at
Target and Walmart with no problems.

Never tried the (expensive) Verizon store chargers.

98 Civic and 02 RSX.

But it worked in another car!

I do NOT understand how this flimsy little charger can blow what ought
to be a high-amp fuse, without noticeably heating or melting down
first.

Wow, local Target had closeout chargers for $4, ... but none for my LG
3200. I notice my local cell mart has an LG-made charger, also $30.

They just exchanged it for a new one, that seems to work. Go figure.
