Archived from groups: comp.security.firewalls (More info?)
I run Kerio Personal Firewall 4.0.16 on a PC with Windows 2000 SP4. The PC
is connected to a local peer-to-peer TCP/IP network with other computers
that also run Windows 2000 or XP.
Other computers in the same workgroup cas "see" the machine with KPF in
their network environment. However, when I try to access a file on the
machine that runs KPF from another PC, I receive an error message that tells
me that the network path cannot be found. The message disappears and I get
normal access when I disable KPF's Intrusion Detection system.
How can I get access to the computer without having to disable the IDS? I've
allready included my network address range under "Network security ->
Trusted", but that doesn't help.
Regards,
Andreas.
