Hello,
I was Playing Assassins Creed III on my PC ( Phenom IIx4 955 BE @3.8 and Ati Radeon HD 4670 with 4 gb DDR3) and everything was running good when i was on the ship in mission 2 or 3 idk.But when i entered the city....the game lagged like hell! on the lowest settings! and you cant say that my gc cant handle the game because my friend who has a radeon hd 4650 runs pretty good on high settings @720p (NOTE: MY resolution is 1366x768)
Please help me! :(

Go to http://www.geforce.com/ look to the left and there should be 310 driver available to download. Download it.

Really? shikhar has CPU and GPU from AMD, what dou you think he can find on http://www.geforce.com/?

@shikhar: I think you have to wait for a Huge patch, like we others. I hope it will be out soon.
I meet the same issue, it doesnt depend on graphic details settings you have chosen, in Boston you probably get about 20 fps, even if you got 40 or 60 on boat.

Maybe i am just lucky.I have a 4100@4ghz, 8gb 1600mhz ram and a 7850 2gb and everything seems smooth to me with everything on max apart from AA. I'm playing at 1080p too.
It did download a patch before i played it though. I hope it gets patched and runs better on your computers soon, it's an awesome game:)

Thanks guys :)
That was really helpful.I will wait for a patch.Guess the game is not optimized for pc until the patch is released :/
And yeah my PC is not weak.well, I played Max Payne 3 on max(just shadows were on high) (@720p) and i got 40-35 fps... :)

Thanks again :)

I experienced the same thing. Phenom II x4 965 BE @ 3.6 and ati radeon 5970 with 4 gb DDR2.
Game ran 45-60 fps on the ship, then drop to 20 fps in town @ 1920 x 1080. Very disappointing considering that is worse frame rates than the ps3 version, isn't it?

the game is a bad port and theres little you can do to improve perfomance over the basic 30 fps, regarless of hardware... it looks like ubi did this on purpose because it would show how far consoles are behind pc's when you let a game like AC3 run free...
you would likely get over 200 fps even on a 3 year old card like mine if the game wasnt gimped.

runs fine on my set up - right up to point where I have to draw my gun to blow up the powder wagon - cant get it to draw gun!! seems a general problem as others have reported it - just annoying

Stupid dev. thinking in my opinion, but dont aim with the sight. You got to get a white outline over what your shooting to shoot. I know what part your talking about, just about stopped playing, thought game was broke.

There's 2 problems here:
1) Your hardware isn't the best so you can't expect to max this game
2) AC3 is HORRIBLY optimized and lags even on the best hardware out there

Don't get me wrong, your hardware is still pretty good, but not exactly good for top notch gaming right now, and from the looks of it Ubisoft doesn't give 2 hoots about PC users, their forums are overflowing with complaints about lag and poor performance even on rigs with CF7970s and SLI 680s -- all of which are conveniently ignored, they like to pretend as if there's no problem at all :-\

I stand corrected, I just tried to run AC3 and this happens:

My friend says the lag in the single player's been fixed, I'll report back as soon as I've verified that myself

i know my rig isn't top notch......I say its entry level but how can you NOT expect a PC to run a game like AC3 on med-high settings (without AA or vsync) when it can run Crysis 2 on high(without AA or vsync) with 30-35 fps. :o

PS:my res is 1366*768
