i recently changed my processor from a palomino 1800 to a tbred B with default voltage of 1.5.
My motherboard is now letting me change the Vcore from about 1.45 to 1.6 max. I want to push it higher. I could swear my motherboard used to go higher with the palomino.
Is this processor related? If so what can i do to enable higher voltages?

Any comments/suggestions gratefully welcomed as always ;)
cheers

That's bummer. Your BIOS limits you to default voltage+0.1 volt.

The easiest fix is to change the default voltage on your CPU. The L11 bridges control this. I suggest just closing them all. Just fill the trenches then use conductive paint to make the connections. This will change the default to 1.85 volt and allow you to increase to 1.95 volt. Don't worry about the default being too high. You can still lower it in the BIOS (although I don't know how low after you change the default).

If you would prefer a different default voltage here is a Tbred Painting guide (wait for the overlay).

99% is great, unless you are talking about system stability
