hey wen i get my new 2500+ i wanna oc it on stock cooler... but make it so it is just as good as a 2700+ without touching fsb.....just the multiplier... and the voltage.... watever that does....will bringing it to 2ghz be enuff to beat 2700+ (with double cache)? that is 166*12
and wat xactly does voltage do.... any1 here oced a 2500+ b4 on stock cooler? and wat programs can i use to test stability aswell as cpu temps....??

Well your CPU now runs at 11*166. I think 12*166 would be recheable with stock cooling unless your CPU gets above 55 C on full load.

Increasing the VCore (CPU voltage) will put more poer on your CPU so it can handle the higher speed.

A good program to watch your temps is MBM 5, you can test CPU stability with Prime95.

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole :eek:
