1. There's 4 kinds of creative sound blaster audigy 2s + the USB ones. I noticed that the internal ones have 7.1 surround sound except for the Audigy 2 Platinum I think. It's really hard to tell which one is better because I never tried them. So for those of u that tried them can u tell me which one would be the best to play games in surround sound. What I mean by best is the card that can allow me to connect the most surround sound speakers. And the card that will make my sounds the best.
2. 5.1 surround sound = 5 speakers arround me and a subwoofer right? Can I get 7.1 with battlefeild 1942? How are we suppose to know if a pc game plays in 5.1 or higher. I checked a few pc action games reviews. Bf 1942 and another one and it doesn't say if the games supports 5.1 or higher.

And what about the USB audigy 2 NZ It's 130$ and the internal audigy 2 ZS is 100$. Or they both the same??? Only one is 30$ cheaper? What's the biggest diffence in the 2??? Can someone help me out. It's confusing to see the difference. I noticed that the internal one has "Comprehensive Multi-Channel Surround with 3D Games". So would the internatl one be better for gaming???
Does anybody know any pc games that support 7.1??? Let's say that I buy 7.1 speakers/sub. Can I use them for 5.1 surround sound also? Or do I need to by another set for 5.1 speakers/sub???

If you have a 7.1 speaker system and have a game that only uses 5.1, you will only get sound out of 5.1. So you can use 5.1 with a 7.1 system. You dont have to buy another set. I think most games use 4.1 though. You would have to check on what games you like and see what they support.
They are pretty much the same, all external devices cost more. If you need the PCI slots and easy access to the ports, use the external. Otherwise the Audigy 2 internal is fine.
Im too lazy to check the Creative site to see what card supports what. 7.1 is pretty much overkill, but it is your money. You can always add speakers later as more games support it.
I just got the Audigy 2 ZS for $100, it's amazing. The best Audigy yet. It supports 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1. Right now I'm running Logitech Z680 5.1s and the sound is amazing whether it's music or games.
