Hi. The 3DMark 2001 SE rating for the Radeon 9000 Pro is around 8500. How did they do that??? The best I can get is 7652. I have a Gigabyte Radeon 9000Pro2 with 128MB Ram set at 285/285.

Here is my specs:

AMD AthlonXP 2400 running like 2700 (166x13)
Epox 8KRDA+ Mobo
2x256MB PC3200 Transcend Ram (5/2/2/2) @ 166MHz
Dual Channel DDR Interface Enabled
Western Digital 80GB Special Edition (8MB + 7200 RPM)
UltraDMA Enabled on All Drives
WindowsXP SP1
Catalyst 3.4 Drivers - Standard Optimal Defaults

Come on - This thing should motor!?

Any comments or help will be appreciated!!!!

I think I got a possible problem. I cant enable AGP Fast Writes!!! It is enabled in my BIOS, but in the control panel it says disabled. When I switch it on and restart, it says disabled again... Any Ideas????

Thanks

IIRC ATi cards don't support AGP Fast Write and if they did Fast Write is as good as useless.

Do you have the latest chipset drivers installed? Is your AGP Aperture Size set to atleast 128MB?

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole

Latest drivers for everything is installed. The card has to support AGP Fast writes, the smartgart option in video properties gives me the option: I I press the retest all button, it puts AGP Fast Write on Enabled - after restart it's back on disabled?

Are this ATi's or nVidia chipset options that give you the ability to enable it... of it is only the mobo's chipset drivers allowing you that doesn't mean your videocard supports it.

My Nforce2-based motherboard supports it, and my ATI control Panel does support it. According to the gigabyte website, the 9000 also supports agp fast writes... :)

Even so, Fast Write wouldn't help much, try think of other solution. It happens to me, when I press "reset", it will set to enable, but after restarting computer, it sets back to disabled, so..
and I guess you just said you use Catalyst3.4?
no, to get higher mark, you should use Catalyst3.2 for DX8 program
I got ~8500 with catalyst3.4
when I switched back to Cat3.2, I got ~9100
what a big difference, so try Cat3.2

btw, I noticed sth, Radeon8500LE beats Radeon8500, LOL, I don'tknow how did they do that, 8500 is clocked higher than a LE version

Now mind you, that is an MX440SE, which is lamer than the MX440.
