Minecraft lagging on good pc

Specs:
I5 3210m
6gb RAM
Nvidia gt635m

I bought the computer with windows8 and it had no java, I dowloaded the latest java and I cant play without lagging.
Anyone can help? I dont want to dload mods such as optifine.

Good news:- for a laptop it is a half decent machine
Bad news:- laptops are not designed for graphics performance, the graphics card in your laptop is so low in power you would have been as well to use Intel's HD Graphics, and neither is any good for running minecraft

What settings are you trying to run it on? It should run without any problems on lowest settings.

My friend has a shitty pc and he runs it on normal. I want to run on normal and Record.
