Can my PC run Battlefield 3 on Ultra settings smoothly? Also, is BF3 the current game that taxes the computer's hardware the most when it comes to Ultra settings?

I'd like to know for both 1440x900 720p resolution and 1920x1080 1080p resolution.

40 FPS I consider fairly smooth.

Edit: I already built this, I was asking post-build.

Here's my build:

What resolution?

Assuming 1080p, you will need much better GPU to run BF3 on ultra at a stable 60fps.

I'd say you'll probably run around 25-30 FPS on ultra 1080p.. a 7850 should do the trick, for single player at least.

No, and battlefield 3 isn't the most demanding game. That would be either Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings with ubersamping on or Metro 2033.

The rest of your build seems solid, but as the others stated you won't be able to get stable 60fps at 1080p with that GPU.
What's your budget?
If you're able to stretch it a bit i would go for a 7850/7870 or a GTX660 or higher.
You can still play BF3 on Ultra, it's just that you won't be able to get high enough FPS for it to be as entertaining as you would want.

I don't need Ultra settings on everything, in fact the purpose of this build was to be able to handle immense multitasking, some Photoshop, Office, HD videos; and if I liked PC gaming, to be able to run most games at fairly high, to Ultra settings, however, not needing Ultra. So I think I'm pretty satisfied with my graphics card. In a year or two, I might get a better one; earlier if I have the money and desire.

Your specs are good but there's still one thing left you wanna do to play it on ultra change your video card and get a better then 7770.My advice for you if you are a ATI guy go for 7850 doesnt even cost much OR for a GTX 660 if it doesnt matter for you about AIT or NVIDIA.
