* I don't know what the max overclock would be but I imagine that would depend a lot on memory and cooling.

I think with the latest bios the 8rda will go upto 200mhz fsb. The outcome of your overclocking will depend on a few things, mainly the quality of the chip itself, the motherboards ability to provide stable voltage to the cpu at high volts, and the cooling you will be using.

The 2500 barton SHOULD do 2.1ghz easy, 2.2-2.3ghz average and upto about 2.4ghz unless you are lucky or use extreme cooling measures to go higher.....
First step in overclocking is to make sure its stable as it is (prime95 and 3dmark are good at proving this)
Next up the voltage to 1.75 and either up the multiplier or the fsb (faster memory needed for fsb) until it wont complete a few hours of prime95 and 3dmark.
If you have 166mhz memory then i suggest you change the multiplier only. If you cant get the higher numbers like 14 or 15x then get faster memory and up the fsb.

Final note; make sure your temps dont go above 50c idle and 60c full load (the cooler the better)...
