I have just purchased and installed a gigabyte GA-8KNXP and am having major problems with running the board with more than 4 512/266MHz memory modules.

If I run the motherboard with memory modules in DIMM 1,2 on Chnl A and DIMM 4,5 on Chnl B it crashes like crazy and very unstalble...

Take the RAM modules out of DIM 5 and 2 on both chnls then it works fine and very stable... If I go oev r1GB of DDR RAM in Dule mode then it fails to operate and very unstable.

Recap--->

I have Memory Modules in DIMM 1,2 on Chennel A 512/2100
I have Memory Modules in DIMM 4,5 ob Chennel B 512/2100

All of the above RAM is Double Sided DDR 2100/266MHz which worked fine in my *INXP motherboard but failes in this one any ideas whay this is happening would be appreciated please...

The RAM I have is the same as the RAM I used on my 8INXP motherboard ans I never once has a problem I'm wondering if the problem is because it has to be 400MHz and then both modules would work fine...

I may be mistaken but if you look at the Motherboard manual, on page 15 it gives all the possible Dimm configurations. And I don't see that six double sided modules will work on the GA-8KNXP 4 DSS mods will work if slots 1,2 & 4,5

anyways here's the link to the manual,,,take a look at page 15
