I want to buy a new Radeon 9700 non-pro, and i'm not sure which company to buy it from, I'm looking for the one with the most overclockability. Somebody please help me.

Such a coincedence... I'm also looking for the best OC'able Radeon 9700 Pro or 9800. According to my current research both Sapphire as Hercules cards are good OC'ers.

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole

I got an FIC 9700np from Newegg. I've been doing a bit of overclocking and so far, pretty happy with it.

I've been able to push it from 277/270 to 315/325. Though right now Im running it at 300/300 for some reason. Its just as stable at 315/325.

I had it to 335/355, only lasted a few mins before the -crashing- set in :(

A7N8X w/2700+ & 512mb DDR333
277/270 = 14602 3dmarks 2001se. 4210 3dmarks 2003
300/300 = 14890 2001se. 4443 2003
315/325 = 15219 2001se. 4619 2003
(all done at 1024x768x32)

for what its worth..

Uh..

I dont think the system memory you have really plays into how well you can overclock a video card.
If its PC1600 or PC3500, you should still be able to overclock the video card.
