Hello I am currently running an Intel P4 2.4C and I have been thinking of getting a Zalman CNPS7000 to silently cool this chip? Right now I'm just using the stock cooling with the fan mate-1 with the fan running at 2000RPM's with temps ranging from 51C in idil and 60C at full load. So I guess the big question I have is will getting this product in conjunction with some Artic Silver 3 worth the money? Also how reliable is the product and how easy is it to install as well. It would be nice if I could keep the fan speed around 2000RPM's (a little less would be nice) but still maintain a decent temp (idil temp arond 45C or less would be nice) Anyway any guidence or wisdom on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks

the boxed cooler noise is botherin you, huh? wow, have they gotten louder recently or do you just want REALLY silent cooling?
the zalman cpns7000-Cu (the all copper one) is what you want to go for, if you can get it. next best would be the copper/aluminum hybrid

make sure yours isn't on there (zalman estimates that about 5% of motherboards are incompatible)

I have the AlCu which works perfectly, so i'd advise you to go with that rather than the all copper one.
Cheaper, lighter, works virtually as well.
