Hello,

I have been on YouTube for over a year now and accumulated quite a following 350k+ views in a year

I currently have a Blue Snowball Mic and would like to replace it with a headset with mic that is superior in every way or equivalent

More about : headset youtube unlimited budget

I don't think there are any headsets with a built-in mic better than a Blue Snowball. I'd just stick with that.

Ok I added or equivalent

I am looking at getting the whole headset/mic because then I dont need to have a surface in front of me for the mic

plus if something great happens and I back up from the mic but say funny stuff it is lost at least with a headset I wont lose anything

also probably will prefer an wired setup over wireless

lol. stay well clear... there a very average headset that cost way more than they are worth... if you want good basics then go stenhieser. they are the only gaming headset manufacturer that give value to there customers. every other manufacturer out there is selling sub par gear at inflated prices.

This used to be true (about sennheiser being the only company with a quality headset), but now Beyerdynamic also have a quality gaming headset, for 400 dollars. ha

Personally I think I'd just stick with audio technica cans and a zalman-mic though.

Sure, I can link them and some reading material for you.

Personally I would assume the quality from your Blue Snowball is a little better than the zalman mic, but the zalman mic is better than the boom microphones that you get on most headsets, and the price is right.

Here are 2 good posts from Head-Fi about gaming with headphones, but also has some general description of the kind of sound you get from each of the headphones tested. You'll see high quality brands reviewed like Audio Technica, AKG, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser etc.

Beyerdynamic mmx300

If you don't mind get a headphone and modmic combo

Seinheiser hd800+modmic
(That's if your rich)
Or

Beyerdynamic cop+modmic

U should get a digital to analog converter as it helps

If you really do not mind headphone and stand mic

Get a blue sparks and a seinheiser hdj8
That one ^ would be very good for YouTube already
