Abit NF7 TRYING TO OC!

Ok, I have an Abit NF7, and I was wondering how all these other people get their FSB speeds up to 180+??? I put mine past 140 and it locks up! Any tips or ideas on how to get a good overclock?
Btw, im sorta new to the overclocking, and I have an AMD Athlon XP 2100. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be because of your CPU that can't handle more or your memory crapping out.

Can you check out which type of CPU you have? Download WCPUID and see what the model number is... 6 is Palomino, 7 T-bredA and 8 T-bredB. Also what kind of memory are you using?

Yeah, i have the polomino core. Does color have to do with anything, because my original 2100 was green, but I sent it back to AMD cuz it wouldnt work, then they sent me a brown one, the one i am currently using.
