I was wondering if the PCI bus speed is too high(from overclocking), can it cause my PCI Networking card to slow down.. like higher ping and slow download speeds?? Thanks

I´ve always heard that the worst thing about a high PCI bus is the risk of harddrive failure, and data corruption. Most modern hardware can take 35-37MHz, but some hardware begin to fail at 38MHz+.

I think the new p4 865pe board have the PCI and AGP buses locked now so that when you overclock the speeds of these buses don't change... thus you won't have to worry about any of the above happening..

Anybody else want to pipe in to confirm this?

My system:
P3 850mhz (100fsb), 512 Micron PC133, Abit SE6, IBM Deskstar 75gxp (60 gig @ 7200rpm), Hercules 3D Prophet 2 GTS (64 meg), SB Live MP3, Pioneer 16x DVD, Asus 45x CD-Rom
