Building a heat sink

I am building a heatsink out of a Thermalright SLK-800 and a coolmaster fan. I was woundering do I want the fan to blow air down or suck air up form the heatsink? Any input would be great. Thanks in advance -Ethos

The fan should blow air in the direction of the heatsink & processor...or "down" as you put it.

I've seen enough of this up or down discussions and I don't want another one here again. Generally in 99.9% of the cases blowing down is the best option.
