Hi folks,

Everytime I copy files onto my desktop (example: extract using Winrar and target directory is desktop) my desktop becomes completely unresponsive. I can browse and use the Windows Explorer without any problem but I cannot click on any icon on the desktop nor select anything.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Thanks!

I dont understand what you're saying. wich version of windows are you using,if it's a beta it doesn't surprise me,it could have bugs,or even a bad installation.
can you post the specs of your pc?
inadequate/damaged hardware could give you those kind of problems too.wrong setting on a firewall could bring this kind of issues, not allowing you to interact with the software.

what about memory? how much?
you cannot click on any icon, but what about once you ve done the file extraction, can you work with your desktop? is the problem while you're extracting? have you tried to replace winrar with a more up to date version?im using 3.71, and it works well.
whats tthe version of win7,is it 7600? 32 or 64? is it a beta? or RC? are you overclocking?
