Now that I basically decided from reading everybodies posts that this is the best Heatsink I am going to get one. But now the question is.. what Fan to put on this sucker? So what is the best fan in everbodies opinion to run on this heat sink?

And do you attached this heatsink directory to the motherboard, or does it fit somehow in that square cage that's on the motherboard right now?

Also, I have an Abit IS7 motherboard.. this will fit fine on the motherboard right? I just want to make sure?

thanks

You mean best as in "loudest best"? You can get a fan with a really high airflow, but it will kill your ears. The "best" best would be a Delta 92mm focused flow high rpm fan, a Vantec Tornado 92mm fan, or perhaps a Panaflo 92mm fan (just generically good quality). You take off the plastic cage for the motherboard, and use a special mounting that comes with the heatsink.

I want to see an <font color=blue>Ati Radeon 99999 Ultra Pro</font color=blue>, based on the <font color=red>AtiRage core</font color=red>. And people wonder how a <font color=purple>Geforce3</font color=purple> is better than a <font color=orange>Geforce4 Mx...</font color=orange>

Well if you don't mind noice get a high speed Delta 92 mm fan. If you want a nice and quiet fan I recommend Panaflo and Pabst.

And yes it will fit on any P4 board.

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole

Yeah I heard the Delta and Vantec fans are really really LOUD! But I hear good things about the Panaflow fans. Should I put the 92mm Panaflow fan on the SLK-9000?

Also, do you know just by looking at the fan what way the air is going to come out. Like how the fins are for instance. Because I want to make sure that I mount the fan so it's blowing the air OUT or AWAY from the slk-9000 heatsink..

why don't the Panaflow fans come with the proper connectors? What do you need to do to connect these fans? I was checking NewEgg and don't know everything I need..

I don't know why but I just put the wires in the holes of the molex connector and use tape to hold them in there.

Okay basically I narrowed it down to three choices.

-Delta 92mm high output
-Vantec Tornado 92mm
-Panaflow 92mm

Between these.. how much of a difference is the noise.. what is the loudest and the quiestest? And is there a big difference between the noise levels of all of these?
What one will cool the cpu the best?

The one thing I don't like about the Panaflow is that you have to put a connector on it yourself.. I don't know why these didn't just attach the connector. Plus I don't know if you can monitor the RPM's through MBM 5 with the Panaflow fans.

By the way.. who makes Delta fans? Is it Delta or another company.. I can't find a Delta fan website..

Delta website: <A HREF="http://www.delta.com.tw" target="_new">http://www.delta.com.tw</A>

The Panaflo is the quitest and the Delta the loudest. You can also think about the Thermalrigh Smartfan 2 or Enermax Adjustable fan... with these fan you can adjust the RPM.

The reason they don't come with connectors is because panaflos are not made soley for purposes of building computers, they have a number of diffrent applications, how hard is it to buy the panaflo 4 pin adapter though...its 2 bucks on new egg. About noise levels...just look and see which one has the lowest decible rating.

I keep those 2 bucks and just play the greedy Dutch student I am and stick the wires directly into the molex connector.
