  1. Which i3 do you have? I would advice against upgrading to FX 8350 as that would not be an upgrade if your i3 is at least sandy bridge one.
  2. I have Intel 3.06 GHz LGA 1156 Core i3-540 Processor .
  3. I would go with the AMD processor, you will not lose any games as they are all stored on your hard drive.
  4. I see. Upgrading to FX 8350 would be a sin - you will be disappointed with its performance for the price you pay. Going with intel would be a much better choice.

As for the games: you will have to reinstall them unless they are steam/origin games.
  5. Which processor do you suggest at that price range.( under 240$)
They al are of stream and origin.
  6. theres a good chance you will have to re-register the games on origin. it uses a similar validation to windows 7 and xp in that if you change to much it thinks your running a different pc. its not really a big deal as most games can be run on more than 1 pc but they do have a limited amount of validations b4 you have to either buy a new license or contact e.a directly.

i5-3570K is the best gaming CPU you can get. It's twice as good as FX-3850 and is cheaper.
  8. Why are you downgrading your CPU?
