Quietest CPU Fan for XP 2400 ?

Well I'm buying an XP 2400, and currently I have a VOlcano 5 and a Volcano 9. But the 5 is underpowered and the 9 sounds like an apache as for some reason I cannot control the fan speed.

Can someone tell me a very quiet CPU fan that will work for a XP 2400 ?

First make sure you correctly connected the Volcano 9 wires.

If it still doesn't work: Panaflo and Pabst have very quiet fans, also an 80mm adjustable fan can often be very quiet.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM

Well I didnt have the temperature sensor connected, but a blue jumper in its place. But the speed control was still connected so shouldn't that have at least worked? And I know they were on the right wires and everything because it doesn't let you connect the wrong ones.

I would try if connecting the temp sensor or removing the jumper works.
