An ethernet cable is not connected

Hello,

I have an ethernet cable connected to my modem. But its sayin its not connected. How do i connect? I have an online profile, but cant sign in because ethernet, please help.

Is this something that just happened, as in it was working and you have changed nothing and now it wont connect ?or did you just set it up or move the PC or something ?

i have not been able to connect my ps3 to the internet. i have an ethernet cable, and run it to the 1LAN on the router, but when i try and play online i receive this message " An Ethernet cable is not connected."
