raise the vcore a bit and try again I assume this is a fsb overclock is your memory set to run at the same speed as teh fsb? If so change it to run seperately.

Is this 54 C at full load or 54 C at first time BIOS enter? If it is the last then I think your CPU is on the hot side for OC'ing.

And is the ambient of 36 C the room or case temp?

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM

I think it's your temps.

A 54 degree CPU and 36 ambient sound rather high for overclocking. What's your room temperature? Ideally you want get the case temp down. What do you have for case cooling? 1 fan? 2 fans? or just PSU fan?

You might also look at your voltages when the CPU is loaded. If you are overloading your power supply you could get system restarts.

whats your ram type? sounds like you might be stressing you ram beyond what it can handle, you might also try relaxing your ram timings that also sounds like a very hot system, id recomend investing in a good cpu cooler, as the boxed cooler for the 2500 is adequate, but nothing special

Havin a little trouble also - just got a 2500+ today...
along with epox erda+, PC3200(ddr400) cl2.5 KVR, Falconrock cooler.
Just started it out at 200FSB... (11*200) seams ok, temp 42c.
Tried W2k install, got errors...CD files not found - probablly due to OC(?).
Droped to 10.5*200, w2k installed... still checkin?

Mine didn't like 2200mhz, at stock voltage anyway!
2100 is a maybe at 10.5*200, its tryin.

I hear most should run 11*200, but ???
About what is the average OC to be expected?

Ooo... put on w2k sp4 after install and
"my comp restarts out of no where" - too!
Infact wont finish Wk2 Pro splash after sp4 - Restarts...
Checked bios level shipped with mobo - 3 LEVELS DOWN!!!
Checked Nforce2 driver level on Mobo CD - WAY Back There!

Flashed with current Bios, cleared cmos, loaded optimal defaults.
Set all "Expert"/Aggressive, 11*200,100% Sync, POSTed XP3200+/2205MHZ,
and ALL INSTALLED Fine, newest Nf drovers, SP4 - All at STOCK Voltage!
(the right nForce mobo drivers probably help too!)

Backlevel Bios appears to have been the problem! - Bios mod notes indicated support for 200mhz Barton added - and they seam to actually work!

Check your Bios Level! - Xp2500+ @11*200, lookin good, all stock otherwise!

Well most people got their chip to 2150 mhz no problem, if you want to push it higher. You'll have to be lucky(like me) to get the better chips(I got mine to 2570mhz with vcore at 1.68), and you'll need 1 hell of a good cooling. I went for the Swiftech MCX624+ since it was cheaper than the SLK900U.
