In tomshardwares latest mainboard reviews they tested msi 865PE Neo2 (ms6728) and apparently succeded in running with ultra turbo mode set in bios but i have msi 865PE Neo2-fis2r and can only run in fast and lower(my monitor wont turn on otherwise´, so i have no error message or such). How did you(tomshardware) succeded in that? I got the latest bios liveupdate could offer this morning, but that wont do...:( did you use a new beta bios, in that case where can i get that bios version, want it cause it worked great for you.

If it matters i have p4 2.8Ghz with 800Mhz fsb and corsair twinx1024-3200LL. Bios setting at default expect for AGP aperture size set at 256

Problem is most likely your RAM

Not saying you have bad ram, but Turbo Modes, etc tend to put a large amount of stress on the ram with these 865 boards, so that I(and Crashman, but I beat him to it this time ;) ) suggest that you got at least one speed up, ie, to run in turbo mode at ddr400, should get at least ddr433 ram.

You must have one heck of a card in there! Even with a 9800Pro-256mb I would leave it at 128. I never could get my 875P NeoFIS2R past Turbo mode myself. Tried OCZ, HyperX, and Mushkin to no avail. E-mail MSI tech support. They just sent me a Beta Bios-2.21 supposed to deal with these memory issues.

Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.4 - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - THAT'S MORE LIKE IT, MSI!

That board can suck my nuts. My 2.6c system uses it and i hate every second of it. I like that system, but i really hate that board. mines not very stable with voltages and turbo mode isn't very nice for me either. I've tried mushkin pc3500 lvl2, hyperX and some TwinMos crap my friend had.
I've tried 2 different fortrons and an antec. Also an alienware 420 watt psu that is stable..

I couldn't agree more. I was thrilled to get rid of mine. More features that you will ever use, but they just don't work right! :frown:
