As a lot of you know, I am working with David Stellmack to get a full fledged Tom's Hardware Convention and Gaming event for some time next year.
To get this done we need to prove to Tom and Omid that there is a demand for such and event as well as show what people in attendance would want in that event.
As for the first part I have been working with a group called Fragnation to get part one completed. There is going to be an event in December on Saturday the 7th through Sunday the 8th. It will be at the Hamburg Fairgrounds just outside of Buffalo NY.
We have the place the date and the time, but there is one thing we wanted to do that no other group has. (That I know of.) We would like to have internet participation. We were trying to secure venues that would meet the bandwidth requirements but the costs were astronomical.
And this where this plea for help comes to you... the THGC.
Is there anyone here in our midst that either works for or has connections to wireless broadband companies that have operations in the Western NY, the greater Niagara Frontier, and Southern Ontario regions?
I am contacting one here however, I need help getting someone to come in and run a demo for us to use. By having the connection we can connect people around the world that physically cannot attend this event. It would be great PR for whatever firm would like to help us. Just the story alone on THG and its 45 million hits per month would be worth helping out at a single weekend event.
