Is it safe to overclock ?

I´ve head the p4 2.8 fsb800 is quite an overclocking biatx, so, i did it, it is now working @ 3.1ghz...is it safe ? the max temp i get is 58º when playing for a long time. What kind of cooler should i get if necessary ?? im a newb here, so please, dont go all l33t on me :\

btw, could you explain me what kinds of coolers are there if you dont mind :\

I'm guessing you're using stock cool right now. You don't have to worry at that temperature, but I like to keep mine under 50C. If you are rich buy the Swiftech MCX4000 with 80mm Tornado. If you're poor, buy the Vantec Aeroflot. If you just went bankrupt after buying your computer, stick with the stock cool.
