I am seeing two different CPU temps between the BIOS readings and the ones from Asus Probe. BIOS temps are 50-52 while Asus Probe shows it at 42. This is a huge difference between the two, any explanations? My system is as follows:

AMD 1800+ (OC'd 10.5 x 180 FSB)with retail HSF
512mb PC 3200 GeIl Golden Dragon
Asus A7N8X Deluxe revision 2.0
Chaintech MX 440 8X 64mb (to be upgraded later)
Antec 400w PS

BTW, this is my first attempt at an overclock, any suggestions to up my current readings would be welcome.

Don't listen to Asus Probe, it's always either drunk or high.

I hate Computers! I could only overclock my Barton 2500+ to 2580mhz(vcore 1.65). My Radeon 9700pro core/mem speed won't go above 410/720. I really hate computers!

Ditto that Asus Anal Probe sucks... MBM 5 is much more reliable.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM

Thought that might be the reason. Thanks for the input.
