Hi I have a 1700+ running at 13*173 about 2.25 GHz.

I currently have the volcano 7 with the circular copper insert at the bottom and my cpu runs at about 52 degs full load. I have a choice of the 2 HSFs I mentioned in the subject, what would you guys recommend.

The Globalwin cak II 38 comes with is delta fan and the slk 800 comes with an enermax fan. Given the choice what would you pick and why?

Thanks people.

I like the slk800u , i'm using it on barton 2500 @11x200
using TT smart fan II on low speed(2100rpm) , running mid 40's load , very Quiet
in 85 deg.F heat (Florida Summer)
kinda pricey though , but wont have to worry bout temps ever

i assume you know that delta fans are notouriously loud...if you do not mind the globalwin will probably perform better...mainly cause of that benemoth of a fan!

There is no smell better than fried silicon

If you like noise go for the Globalwin with the screamer Delta... but the SLK800 with thermaltake fan will be the best cooler with little noice.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM

Oh man I got the globalwin and it SO LOUD. :(

I tried the 7v trick with the fan but then that thing doesn't stay cool enough.

I'm gonna have to make some serious decision about what I'm going to do with my system, slow it down a bit and have peace and quiet or be proud of high overclocking but put up with LOADS of noise.

Oh well.

Thanks all.
