You should be able to play these games without a problem at the resolution you mentioned -- as stated above it might be a software issue.

Anyway, as you are running it on a 64 bit system, then get some more ram -- 8GB is recommended for games.

When you can get a better graphic card.

Could you describe the crashes? It's definitely not specs related: all the stuff seems compatible and fulfills minimum game requirements.

Download HWMonitor from here:

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Run it and then launch the game. Play it until the game crashes. Then maximize HWMonitor window, take a screenshot of it, upload it to imageshack.us (don't forget to select "Do not resize" option) and post the link here.

Are you sure you turned the HWMonitor on before turning on the game and did the screenshot after the game crashed?

Okay, could you download Prime95 and Furmark, run In-place Large FFTs test and Furmark Burn-in test? When you do that, could you go to task manager, processes tab, find prime95.exe, right click it, go to priority and set it to low? When you do that, leave it running for 15-20 minutes and after that tell me whether it crashes in that time or not. Also, have HWMonitor running in the background all the time, and post a screenshot of it when you're done.

Furmark: http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

OK so it shouldn't be hardware issue.

Could you try reinstalling either of your game? I mean delete it totally from your hard drive and reinstall it freshly.

And they are still crashing? Are those steam game versions? Which graphics card driver version are you running?

What? Frenz? What's that?

I'd suggest you download Steam from http://store.steampowered.com/ and install a free game - like Team Fortress 2. Check if that game is crashing. If it's not, then it means your games are corrupted - just enter their CD keys to steam and it will download the proper versions which will not crash.

Hmmm i found a problem that might be related when i copy a folder off my external HDD (a rar file, installation folder, etc) to my internal HDD, the file turns corrupt or a 'a CRC error occurs) and since the games i install are from external sources are they somehow related?

and yup when i copy files from my pc to pendrives etc they get corrupted somehow

Of course, that is probably it. You cannot just copy files. You must install the game either from digital source (like Steam, Origin or some online vendor like Gog) or from a DVD.

My PC is an assembled PC. It has been giving me some problems which i tried fixing myself but now its driving me nuts. The thing is basically CRC issues and games crashing on startup. Here is the situation: when i install or extract something from my external hard disk than the installation usually goes through but the game crashes at startup or if playable than crashes at some point in the game (always at the same point everytime) and if i copy the installation folder, file or rar file to my internal HDD than it gives of error of which CRC errors are the most common. Please Help. The games crashes even if i install it from an original disk and Yes all games are above recommended specification

That means your external hard drive may be damaged. Could you please check whether Team Fortress 2 works for you? Shouldn't take too long to install. I even gave you the link.
