Hello,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place.
Shutdowns occur only when I try to play one of these two games:
'Deus Ex HR' and 'Hitman Absolution'

Whenever I start the game it runs just fine for 5-10 minutes then the PC shuts down COMPLETELY and struggles starting up again for another 5 mins or so.
As if I pulled the plug off the power supply.

what can be causing the problem?
both games are from different years, and the computer runs them both with no major effort (until it goes off)

Never happened before with any game.

Computer specs:
Intel Core i7 870@2.93 GHz
6 GB RAM
1GB Nvidia GeForce 450 GTS
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Installed with all the latest drivers.

Thanks.

I would agree with thee_prisoner...
Either the Over heating problem or Fault power supply.

But it could be possible that your video card doesn't
work with those two games.

I also agree you could try downloading OCCT and run 1st the CPU test then the GPU test it monitors the temps and stresses the components. You could also run Memtest if you think its not the PSU or overheating. What PSU do you have?
