Hi, Just a newbie to OC'ing so apologies if i annoy anyone with what Im about to ask...
I have a PNY Ti4200 64Mb (44.67WHQL drivers) running at stock speed, any tips on OC'ing it (ie: what utils to use) and what it tops out at any bad experiences...all advice will be welcome.

one further thing, I have no additional cooling on the card and cant be bothered with additional cooling so whatever can be done to a standard card would be good.

I always use Rivatuner for nVidia cards... works awsome with a lot of options.
As for how far your card can go with stock cooling... I don't have a clue. But if you OC slowly and test after each 5 MHz you will soon enough find out where your limit lies. You will get artifacts and other screen disruptions way before you frie your card.
I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM
For simplicity, download a program called Coolbits. I think your Detonator Drivers do have a "clock speeds" tab but if yours doesn't, get Coolbits, it's a simple registry mofifier. Just adds a tab in your card's settings window.
I'd suggest searching google for overclocker sites, they have reports on safe clock speeds and dozens of OC'ing programs (like Coolbits). guru3d.com is one of my favs.
For starters, get the omega detonator drivers

they should give better gaming performance.
Then use its built in overclocking tool to overclock SLOWLY.
increase the core by small amounts say 5Mhz till it crashes during stress testing.
Then do the same for the ram till you start to get wierd artefacts.
Just do it slowly and methodically. dont push it too far.
