i want to over clock a amd 2200 .. i want to knwo whats a good speed to over clock it too ?? and what is a goood fan that will keep it good and cool

What core is ur CPU? Palamino? T-bred? t-breds overclock better than Palaminos.

thats no problem at all. The code on ur processor is the key to determining what core CPU u have.

Are u sure that its a 166 FSB XP 2200+? I thot there were 166 FBS CPUs only upwards of 2500+. When did u buy the CPU?

Do u have WinCPUID installed? If u do, run it and se what it shows for Family and Model.

Alternately, u cud remove the Heat sink and note down the 2 rows of letters and numbers on the CPU which starts with something like AXDA.. But if u have not removed and replaced the Heat sink before, i suggest u dont do that.

no i have replaced and ever thing alot before .. im not new to computers .. just new to over clocking stuff :p the heat sink is on right .. i installed wincpuid ..here is the info you wanted

That is a T-bredB... should hit 2.2-3GHz without much problems with good cooling and a possible VCore increase.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM :eek:
