Hi i would really appreciate if people gave me some advice to what i need to overclock and what i should overclock it to right now i got my AMD Barton at 12.5 X 166.3@ 2079 and running at 37c my computer setup is:
AMD Athlon XP "Barton" 2800
Radeon 9800 128MB
Corsair XMS/Low Latency PC3200 400mhz 512MB
Western Digital 80Gig 8mb cache 7200RPM
MSI K7N2 Delta ISLR
Thanks for all your information, and im not really needed the TOP PERFORMANCE just something to brag about, because it did cost me alot of money and i would like some high scores in the benchmarking programs (3dmark2001, 2003, Sandra) thanks for the help!

ok here goes

set your multiplyer to 8x....then increase the fsb to 200mhz... restart go into windows make sure everything is stable (it should be because you are using pc3200 mem) next increase the fsb by 4mhz incraments until your computer becomes unstable...once you find instability back off untill everything becomes peachy again..increasing the mem voltage by .1 volts will help give you stability at higher fsb speeds...

Next we move to speeding the cpu up...now that we have found the max fsb/mem speed we start pushing the cpu...set the multiplyer to 10x start windows and make sure everything is stable...then keep uping the multiplyer until you encounter instability...increasing the cpu voltage in small incraments will help get you stability but if the temp goes above 55c under load back off...

Also make sure that you pci/agp frequencies are lockeed before you begin your endevor....have fun!

3 386DX-25's...12 volts...glue some ln2 and a wicked amount of overclocking and you get a willamantee minus 36 pins, 33.75 million transistors and a couple hundred mhz...

set the agp appature size to 128mb that seems to always provide optimal performance (although arguable). To overclock the video card google a program called powerstrip...

Rage3d is the best for that I got my Sapphire 9800pro pretty high with that program.

I hate Computers! I could only overclock my Barton 2500+ to 2645mhz. My Sapphire 9800pro core/mem speed won't go above 475/750. I really hate computers!

download a program called prime 95...run the torture test...if the test generates errors or locks up after an hour then things are not peachy :frown:

Keep us posted. Might be interesting to see how high the 2800 goes.... Also dont be afraid to raise the cpu voltage a little as your temps are good.

I'm aiming for 20k, I'll probably fail, but worth a try. My dad's gonna help me voltage mod my Sapphire 9800pro, hopefully I can get my core up to 510 or up, and memory, I lost hope in the 2.8ns memory already, if it hit 400 I'll be happy.
