Can i run far cry 3 on this laptop?

Hello, at what settings would i be able to run far cry 3?

Processor: Amd a10-4600m 2.30 GHz
Graphic card: Amd Radeon HD 7660g + 7600M Dual graphic card

I would Say med to high with POST FX on low. Also depends at what frames per second you comfortable is.

thing is i just borrowed my friends far cry 3. and on low i was barely able to run it with 25 fps :S so can you help me with some tweaking perhaps?:)

What resolution Are you running At. Also are you running in DX11 or DX9

DX 9 and 1366x768 i tried with DX11 but then i got even worse fps :S

maybe try dropping your res to 1280x720. And since you are already running everything on low. There isnt anything more you could do.

ahh well still crappy fps, thanks for the help though! it just seems weird to be i get 35+ fps in assassins creed 3 then but not in FC3

Yeah it is But me for its the other way around. i get 60+fps on FC3 but on AC3 i get about 35-45fps.

could it be the gpu or cpu thats bottle necking?

That's normal. Far Cry 3 is extremely hardware heavy game.

ahh ok thanks might aswell get it for Console then so i wont ruin the experience with only 30+ exp on lowest

what you need to do is turn off the dual gpus to just use the better one (I had that problem with my pc) amd/or get the beta 12.11beta11 .NET Support drivers from AMD's website
My PC and i get 60+ on medium Dx11
A6-4400m @2.7-3.2
4gb ram
AMD Radeon HD 7525G(512MB DDR3) + HD 7600M(1048MB GDDR3) but i only use the 7600
having bith of them on is more for having a 3D screen

okay i found it and it actually boosted my Fps til around 50 or so, but sometimes there is still some fps drop. :S
