here's my computer specs

amd 1700 t-bred B @1.92 11.5x166 1.60v
vantec aero flow HSF

That is with a KT333 chipset right? I think about 175 MHz... but it really differs for each mobo.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM

this is really hard to say, but one thing for sure on VIA your 1700+ probably would go beyond 180MHz... but it may go as high as 225MHz on nForce2 though. Are you runing in sync with your RAM? I think you may go higher if run async.

If I agree with you... will you shut up?

with PC3200 RAM i can safely say that u cud go as high as 195FSB, and if u r lucky u cud go as high as 200 FSB (which is rare for a ASUS KT400 mobo, but with EPOX i have seen someone go as high as 208FSB and been stable).

I got a stick of DDR400 CL2.5 and with my t-bred B 1700+ DUT3C 0310, i cud go as high as 182FSB with RAM set to CL2 in BIOS and 192FSB at CL2.5. Anything higher than those FSB and i wud get frequent and sudden BSODs.

The max i cud get out of my chip was 2220MHz at 1.95V.

whats the max CPU clock u cud get out ur chip? I am sure u can go upto 180FSB at least with the KT400. Try increasing the Vcore of the CPU and the RAM.

did u try different settings? Like setting FSB and multiplier such that the end product remains the same? Try 12*174, or 11.5*180. i think u cud do that with 1.75V FSB. And since u r having PC3200 RAM, i dont think u wud need to increase the Vcore of the RAM. And most of all, GOOD LUCK!

Where can u find if ur RAM is 2700 or 3200 in SiSoft Sandra?

the mobo tab...

It tells you the speed that your ram is currently running at...

on my overclocked pIII system it shows up as pc142...go figure i never even thought that was made...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP

that much i knew, i have the info. But that shows what FSB u have set in your BIOS. From what sky said i thot there was a special tab that actually determines if the RAM stick was PC2700 or PC3200. anyways, tnx for clearing that up

well for me under the mobo tab it tells me the ram....it says enhanced memory systems pc142 and then it is followed by some numbers (i am assuming the timmings...)

sisoft gets my memory all wrong...it says cas 2 up to 133mhz and cas 3 up to 142...but really this memory is cas 2 up to 150 and cas 3 up to 166...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP
