I am using Zone alarm V. 4.5538 with XP Pro.

No real problems but one very annoying thing is that programs that I have
deleted even from the registry still appear in my Z/A program control list.
Even when i remove them they find their way back.

Anyone got any thoughts on this

Thanx

Geoff

Right click on the program and select remove program.

Sorry, that should have been: Right click on them in ZA and remove them.
If they find their way back, maybe the programs found their way back
onto your system via system restore. You didn't indicate whether the
programs were trying to connect to the internet or if ZA simply
re-listed them. If ZA is simply relisting them, then I found this
thread on their site that may offer a solution*:
http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs [...] e.id=11144

Or to see just the solution:
http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs [...] e.id=11180

From what I can tell this is a common bug in ZA. As seen in this post:
http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs [...] e.id=10061

And the answer to that post:
http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs [...] e.id=10062

*If the links don't work then goto the Zone Alarms website, navigate to
the forums, and search for "relisting programs"
