I'm thinking of using panaflo L1A with a thermalright sk-7 on my xp 2800 barton for some super-quiet cooling.

Just wondered if anyone had experience of this combination or similar. Any other comments also welcome.

I'm not going to be overclocking. Anything under 60 celsius is fine by me.

i think you're pushing your luck just a little using an l1a on an sk7 for an xp2800... i would suggest using a slk800 or slk900 if you want to use such a low cfm fan

Well, got DSL back - now I need to split my connection through my comp and switch, stupid new modem doesn't have built-in router... urgh. One good thing though - watercooling!!

Hmm, I thought that might be the case. Do you reckon an M1A or H1A would do the job then? I've already ordered the SK-7.

Actually wait a sec, the L1A is 120mm and 69cfm.. if you can fit it into the SK7 using an adapter then go for it, definitely.. I was thinking the L1A was the sub 20db, ~19cfm fan..
As for the H1A I think that would be ohk too, just a matter of you verifying your CPU temperatures once installed and seing if its good enough... I know I've changed heatsinks more than once due to items not meeting my expectations (though I can't really complain about watercooling now, heh).
