Well, I wouldn't even touch the Volcano 7, so you probably mean the Volcano 7+, and then the Volcano 9 is nothing special (except perhaps a low cost-alternative) and as for the Volcano 11 - like you said, best out of the bunch because its the newest, been developped for the faster/hotter CPUs, blah blah blah same sh!t as usual. What CPU is it to be used on anyways?

Well, got DSL back - now I need to split my connection through my comp and switch, stupid new modem doesn't have built-in router... urgh. One good thing though - watercooling!!

oh, well if its a Palamino I would personally grab the Volcano 11 'caus those cores are damn hot, though you can get away with a 7+... if its T-bred, then the 7+ would be fine too, though for the diff in price the V11 would be worth the extra cool touch

Volcano 7+ is the bset in Volcano line, it has beaten 11/11+ in heatsink roundup. Click here to view. And in Melbourne, 7+ is either same price or even more expensive than 11+ Xaser Edition.

If I agree with you... will you shut up?

Thanks for the feedback guys, 11+ it is...by the way, what kind of a difference in heat is there between the Palomino and T/Bred? ( Have a Palomino at the moment ).

Pretty large, around 10C-15C I think. My 1700+ Paly is giving me close to 60C right now during the summer months. I did throttle it down a bit, but it's still peaking at 55C semi-idle.

Once I get my 2600+ bread, I estimate my temperatures to drop around 10C (45C), or maybe more.

If you have to buy thermaltake product, then Volcan 7, I would recommend the Thermalright AX7 with Delta, the heatsink is about 20 dollars(us) and delta, I'm not sure 15 dollars? This setup is way better than any of the volcanos.

I hate Computers! My P4 2.4C won't go above 3840mhz. My Sapphire 9800pro core/mem speed won't go above 490/790. I really hate computers!

Let me give an example between a Palomino and T-bred at the same speed (XP2000+):
Palomino: 70W
T-bred: 60.3W

With a HSF with 0.5 C/W cooling power that will mean about 5 C temp difference.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM
