hi guys , just wanted 2 know hover can this processors be overclocked ? my system

MSI KT400
256 DDR RAM PC 2700
AOPEN GEFORCE 4 MX 440

What core do you have? If Thoroughbred-A it sucks, if Thoroughbred-B, with stepping AIUHB, and grey colour core, your potential is huge. If on nForce2 chipset 2.2GHz in terms of clock speed or 200MHz in terms of FSB is a minimal estimation (provided with PC3200 RAM). OK, now look at your system: PC2700 RAM and KT400 combo, which will kill your overclockability and limit the power of your 2200+ to maybe 170MHz. If Thoroughbred-A 2200+, then you are lucky to get pass 150MHz.

To find out which core you got download WCPUID and see which model number your CPU has.
7 is T-bredA and 8 is T-bredB.
