running a win2k computer with two NICs to share an internet connection. one's got the internet coming in, the other goes to a hub that takes 3 other computers. my question is regarding ports.. i used a program called PortDetective to check the ports on a computer connected to the hub and they're all blocked. the main computer has all its ports open. was wondering if there was a way to unblock the ports to the secondary computers. mostly for file sharing programs to work. any help in this area is appreciated.

the ports on the local pc's without the net conenction will not be visible to outside connections, unless you forward these, the only pc thats visible is the one with the net connection. You dont say how you are sharing the connection, ics/proxy or whatever

If they squeeze olives to get olive oil, how do they get baby oil?

sorry, the subject doesnt clarify the fact that i'm using ICS.. i switched to XP Pro and i was able to forward the ports just fine. would still be nice to be able to do it in win2k.
