Here here. It makes me mad that they are making it hard to backup your own music. I know from first hand how bad and unreliable of a media CDs can be after prolonged use, which means making personal backups a must.
If I find any "corrupted" CDs when I make a purchase, I am going to find a way to copy the music then take it back after I make my copies. Everyone needs to do that, just to teach the record companies a lesson to not treat every consumer like a pirateering counterfeiter.

a good combo is a plextor drive and audio grabber. there isnt a copy protected cd that ag cant rip with a plextor drive, with the correct firmware anyway. i think all the newer drives have the correct firmware.

what people should do is stop buying music alltogether. organize a boycott for say a month. imagine one whole month with no music sales, or even a week. riaa, music execs, ceo's would shite their pants. course everybody in the usa would have to do this at once not just a few people

i still can't understand why they havn't dropped prices by 66% yet even 50% price drop would increase my cd buying by over 500%
its just dumb of them they are asking for she-eat.
even though i don't copy music i do however have my entire cd collection on my computer, to LISTEN TOO geeze can't they undertstand that i don't use my stereo to listen to music i use my COMPUTER, and i ain't gonna install no software i would rather ue my own favorite program to listen to what i god damn want to.
