First time poster.. Long time reader...

So, I finally did a full overhaul of my system...

Giga-byte 7N400 Pro
AMD Athlon 2500+ Barton
CoolMaster Aero 7+ ($24.95 @ Local Shop)
Artic Ceramique
CoolMaster 80mm Neon Fan TLF-R82
Vantec 80mm Stealth SF8025L
80mm Case fan (came with case)
EnerMax Case w/ 350PS EnerMax

CoolMaster Neon on the side sucking in
Stealth on the top sucking in
80mm on the back blowing out.

My stats.. idle / load
System 39'C / 30-41'C
CPU 49-50'C / 53-55'C

This is with the barton OC'd to 3200+ (2.2g) (11x200fsb)
I feel that temp is a little on the high side, even when adding the extra two fans today, my temps didnt go down much if any... I think they really when down cause I didnt properly apply the stock paste that came with the Aero. I bought the artic silver and took a very long process of cleaning and applying. I even took my MB back out of the case so I can causiously put the HSF back on without smearing.

So, is this temp ok? or is it running a bit high? help me out.. also, i need some suggestions on better fan placement and direction.

Many thanks appreciated.

Change the stealth fan to blowing out - heat rises.

You didn't state what other stuff you have in your case e.g. cdrw, gf4 etc... This will all affect your system temperature, as will your room temperature.

What's the temperature readings from?

I hate Computers! My P4 2.4C won't go above 3840mhz. My Sapphire 9800pro core/mem speed won't go above 490/790. I really hate computers!

k, the stealth on top should be sucking out, and you should put a front intake as well... but those temps are high, thats why i don't like the Aero7, but too late for that i guess... but yeah, what are those temp readings from - the motherboard's software or what? i would suggest you try using motherboard monitor 5 to get some good temp readings.. mind you, check what it says in your BIOS after you boot and report those temps back to me.
