AMD OCing help

Im trying to get my AMD 3000 to 2.5Ghz approx. and after i exit bios the voice (with mobo) tells me the comp failed memory test. I avnt changed the RAM settings at all, is this the problem, if so wot should they be set at?

Whats your setup? Including motherboard and memory type/speed/make. Also state what settings you have tried and what failed.

a7n8x mobo, 1GB 333mhx DDR RAM.
well everything failed, i tried 166 * 15 and the computer didnt go into safe mode, but it failed memory test.
