I'm thinking about overclocking my 1800+/8rda+ setup but have never done any overclocking before. I don't want to push it to its limits but I'd like to test it out a little bit and maybe go further with it in the future. What type of cooling am I going to need to get to do this? Will stock cooling be able to give me some results without having to go out and buy new heatsink/fans and such?

Please give us the rest of your system specs. And what's your current temperature, use MBM5 to do this

I hate Computers! My P4 2.4C won't go above 3840mhz. My Sapphire 9800pro core/mem speed won't go above 490/790. I really hate computers!

a couple more questions before i can really become helpful, what's your power supply, and most importantly is your CPU Palomino, Tbred A or Tbred B, you can use wcpuid to tell.

Well the thing is this. I havn't put the 8rda+ in yet, so I'm still running on the ecs k7s5a board. The temperature is 39 degrees celcius. The processor type says: AMD Athlon XP(Model 6) Platform: Socket A(462) Family: 6|7 Model: 6|6 Stepping ID: 2|2

300w power supply if it makes a difference
Don't know if this will help you, but it doesnt say directly whether it's palomino or tbred..sorry

That CPU's Tbred so it's fairly good for overclocking and multiplier shouldn't locked so you don't have to get extreme high FSB, and i highly recommend you not to overclock since the 300watt power supply is only barely holding your system without killing itself. So if i were you just to be safe get a 350 or 400 watt power supply.
