I recently purchased a samsung a650 from verizon. I then bought the Dr.
Cable, cable and software package from vavolo.com. I still do not have
it installed on my computer, because the driver for the phone that came
with the cable, does not work. Can anyone help me out?

Try either one of these two USB data cable drivers:
