i got 3 sunon bx 80mm fans for my case... 50cfm 40dBa and im controlling them on minimum with my rheobus... i also got the 92mm Sunon 120cfm 56dBa (or so) and i got them all on minimum and its still too dam loud...i dont want to do voltage tricks, i just want to add more resistance... like can I buy a resistor that will lower it even more? or something... can any1 help me here? ive lowered my temps byy 20C changing fans but these r too dam annoyingly loud... so I want to add more resistance to my 92mm fan... any ideas how?

thx

YOU SPOILED LITTLE *****, jk, the thing is 40DB isn't that loud, are you sure you can't live with it? I mean I used to have 2 Tornados each pushing 56 decibals.

Every resistor you add increases heat, resistors dispell voltage as heat. And that also cost money in the form of electricity, which is why I told you before to wire up the fan for 7v.

you can always do what i did when i got tired of hearing my two 80mm tornados, one 120mm (~50db), and heatsinks galore - go to watercooling! hehehe, i know i know the cost, but let me tell you its worth it, its so f#ckin quiet in comparison, i could never imagine going back to anything else.
