Very true but my Vcore is changing a LOT with Enermax 450. Could it be my 9800pro overclocked is draining too much power from the 12V rail?

Tell us the Voltage rails on all voltages, you can just read this off your psu stickers.

BAH...you cannot say that until you get out a multimeter and check your voltage regulators...

Voltage monitoring software/chips plain 'ol suck (most of the time)

No problem then, If you're not getting power draining specialty video cards then 420 will do just fine even in overclocking.

I've never had a problem with voltage monitors, sorry. Fluctuating power is normally caused by a power supply not having enough buffer capacity (capacitors), being undersized, or having poor quality line voltage from the wall socket.

I have...mine show my 12v and vcore fluctuating quite a bit...pull out the multmeter and the vcore is rock stable and the 12v line is only fluctuating by .03v

I'm thinking about the Antec Truepower 550 but don't really think it's that necessary. My voltage lines are really stable except the Vcore, which I think is the mobo's fault, because all the Asus boards I've used changes Vcores around a lot.

if I were you I'll just spend a little extra on the Enermax 450 or Raidmax 500 or Truepower 430. Those are high quality power supplies.

anyway it looks like the psu wont arrive to the computershop before 20 sept. So what im asking is: Shall i stick with the Hipper 420w order or change it to hipper 520w witch is 30$ more ???

If you're getting 9800pro and planning to overclock that thing, then maybe 500+ is a good deal, but I don't think you really need more than 420watt.
