Some website reviewed this piece of ram being able to do 290mhz from the default 250mhz. But they did it as Vdimm of 3.3, which is beyond the 3.0 warrenty, so I think i'm going to do that mobo vdimm controler mod get my vdimm up to 3.05, and see if i can get 285mhz, then i'll have syncronized FSB with ram while my CPU's running at 3420mhz. Goddamn that's freaggin high. Didn't know OCZ rams could overclock that far.

Syncronized 3.4G should give me more performance than not syncronized 3.5 right? Well I know no matter how much I syncronize and no matter how nicely i tune at 3.4 there's no way for me to beat 3.8 async. All these new high-end memory are making me wanting to get syncronized FSB.

the p4 likes bandwith!

The higher you ramp up the clock speed and not the memory speed the more clocks your cpu is sitting hungry for data...keep that in mind...probably synching the fsb is the way to go in "real world" apps

Stock is 2.5v! All these companies selling "PC4000" that's rated stock at 2.8v or whatever nonstock voltage are actually cheating!

Yeah I know, but the problem is with 2.5v PC3500 ram, u just simply can't get up to 250mhz.

I just buy the best every 3 months. It's like I'm lending them money to spend while they lend me products to use. Then after 3 months we just trade back.

Got the DDR4000 but unfortunently they couldn't get the gold series so I only got the copper series. Oh well this thing's still rated 250mhz 3-4-4-8 at 2.7Vdimm. My old 3700 gold had to struggle for 260mhz sometimes unstable. But with these new PC4000 copper, It did 260 at 2.75vdimm, when I pushed vdimm up to 2.85 the highest i've got so far is 271. I haven't messed with the timings yet though. But I'm very happy with these new memory 21mhz overclock at really high frequency. I'm very happy.
